Dieses Pfahlschutzwerk wurde im 19. Jahrhundert erbaut und soll die Insel vor der aus Nordwesten heranst\u00fcrmenden Nordsee sch\u00fctzen. Als ich Baltrum im Mai 2019 besuchte, fanden gerade Instandsetzungsarbeiten an dem denkmalgesch\u00fctzen Bauwerk statt.
